All Things ~ Even Grasshoppers

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
~ Revelation 4:11

Yes, every fine detail of this creature was fashioned by God. ~ What an artist!

I thought about making the title to this post, "Where's Waldo?" since this little guy blends in with his surroundings so well.  But alas, it is Wednesday, and I usually add scripture to my photos on Wednesday. I couldn't find any scriptures about Waldo or any of his kin, and "Where's Hezekiah?" just didn't have that special ring to it. ; )

  1. Now that is funny, "where's Hezikiah" :)

This verse is ironic to me today because I am not in an appreciative mood of ALL of God's creation. I woke up this morning with something crawling on my neck. I grabbed at it and threw it off of me. It was a roach. DISGUSTING! I couldn't go back to sleep and still dealing with the jitters. I may never go back to my bed :) Haha. Thanks for the reminder. I should appreciate those little gross bugs as they probably do something good, but I don't know what.

Thanks for linking up with The Wednesday Word :)!

  2. I remember walking down trails or dirt roads as a kid and having bucketloads of these things skittering out of our way...

  6. Gorgeous photo, and so true. He is so evident in all of creation, if we take the time to stop and marvel.

  10. So good to stop by and enjoy one of your beautiful pictures, yes even a grasshopper. :o)

We're home and trying to get adjusted once again. Dad is okay but still little improvement. My brother arrives in about an hour so keep those prayers going.

Happy rest of the week to you!

  13. I can imagine God sitting down to carve every intricate detail of the grasshopper.

Why He even knows the number of hairs we have on our head.

    Great post!

  17. Great shot, Stephani! Though I can appreciate God's creation and the cool construction of this creature, I still do everything I can to rid my garden of these voracious eaters!
