A Love Affair

Love and faithfulness meet together;

righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,

and righteousness looks down from heaven.

Psalm 85:10-11

HE IS RISEN!

  6. That first picture is incredibly awesome--looks like it was shot in 3-D. Can you tell us what lens and the settings you used? May be my all-time favorite photograph!

  12. Dianne ~ I used my standard 18-55mm lens. Settings are going to vary depending on what time of day the photo is taken, if it is cloudy or sunny etc. To get a shot like this with a shallow depth of field and significant blur in the background you need to open up your aperture (set the fstop number low)and get as close to your focal point as possible keeping distance from the background. I always set my ISO at 200 unless I absolutely have to raise it. This shot was taken in the middle of the day at about noon so with a wide open aperture (which allows in more light) I had to significantly raise the shutter speed to keep the photo from being too bright. I hope this helps!

  13. Beautiful captures Stephanie. I'm from Scotland so I'm guessing that these are the blooms from a redbud tree?

    He is risen indeed........ Hallelujah.
