King of the Road

And you thought eighteen-wheelers ruled the road!

In western Oklahoma it might just be a wild longhorn!

  9. Love, love LOVE this picture. Do you think he is hurrying to get out of the way of the oncoming traffic, or taking his time and just DARING them to hit him?

  11. Once again, I am very jealous! What a beautiful picture. While I didn't get any pictures of longhorns while in Texas, I did get to see one while going 70 miles an hour down the highway :)

  12. You're making me miss TX and OK! My husband is from southern OK. Great shot, btw. I'm sure that fast-looking red car tried to swerve around the longhorn. LOL

  13. Keetha ~ Actually the cars were waiting on him! This shot was taken in a wildlife refuge so the longhorn is indeed wild and roaming free. The cars are also trying to spy other wildlife such as bull elk and bison. I got some close up shots of the bison, but not the bull elk. This was actually a smaller longhorn there were others much larger and had larger horns. Thanks for all the great comments guys!
