10.16.10 ~ Abandoned

I was driving around the countryside this morning, and I came to a screeching halt as I came upon this building.  The first word that came to mind as I stepped out of the car and approached the fence was, "abandoned."

Then without a moment's hesitation the Lord whispered, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." ~ Joshua 1:5

A life without Jesus is but an empty shell, useless, overtaken and dry.

Jesus gives me life, fills me with life giving seed, and quenches my dry and thirsty soul.

Psalm 63:1-3
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

  1. Really nice job on that old abandoned shack. Great composition and I love the starkness you did in the black and white treatment. Great work Stephani.

  10. Absolutely stunning photo...it speaks so loudly...We used to see buildings like this when we lived in MT so many years ago...The scriptures go well with it and speak to us all in times of "dryness". God bless.
